Over
Spring Break, CLC will be
offering two week long therapy
programs. Please contact
the Fountain Valley office at
714.965.2324 or the Santa Ana
office at 714.835.5587 if you
are interested in any of the
following programs.
SWiM is designed for children
with speech and language therapy
needs.

‘Speak With Me’
is a week-long program,
facilitated by a
speech-language pathologist,
where your child work on
learning and generalizing
speech-language goals with
appropriately matched
peers. Skills will be
addressed in books, songs,
crafts, games, and/or other
fun activities.
The skills addressed may
include, but not be limited
to, the following:

Receptive and Expressive
Vocabulary
·
Generalization of speech
skills
·
Following Directions
·
Requesting, Showing off,
Greetings
·
Observational learning
·
Symbolic Play
Who: Children will be
matched according to age and
similar goals/needs, with no
more than 3 children per
session.
When: SWiM will meet five
times weekly for one hour
per session. Specific times
to be determined based on
enrollment interest.
Spring Dates:

Developmental Skill
Builders is designed for
children with global needs:

This program provides
children with a structured
environment to
systematically address
skills in critical areas of
development. A Behavioral
Therapist will embed therapy
in theme-related activities
that will systematically
target skills, provide the
children with multiple
opportunities to practice
the targeted skills, and
promote generalization of
concepts.
Developmental Skill Builders
sessions will address the
following skills:

Cognition and Learning Style-observational learning, attention,
imitation
·
Communication-expanding functional communication repertoire
·
Social Emotional-interactive play skills, expanding repertoire of
interests
·
Behavior-cooperation, following directions, rules/expectations
·
Sensory Motor--sensory exploration, fine and gross motor skills
Who: Children will be
matched according to age and
similar goals/needs, with no
more than 3 children per
session.
When: Developmental Skill
Builders will meet five
times weekly for 1½ hours
per session. Specific times
to be determined based on
enrollment interest.
Spring Dates:
